# 🍏 My iPhone / iPad / MacBook keep disconnecting from WiFi

On Apple devices, **Wi-Fi Assist** is enabled by default and may cause frequent disconnections from the campsite WiFi.

### 🔄 Why disable it?
When the WiFi signal becomes weak (e.g., inside your accommodation), your iPhone **automatically switches to mobile data** (4G/5G).
What happens:
* You stay connected to the internet, but **via mobile data**, not WiFi
* The WiFi network no longer detects activity and **disconnects your session** to free up bandwidth
* You’ll need to **reconnect manually**
* You may think you're using WiFi… but you're actually using your data plan!

### 🛠️ How to turn off *Wi-Fi Assist*:
1. Go to **Settings**
2. Tap **Cellular** (or **Mobile Data**)
3. Scroll all the way down
4. Toggle off **Wi-Fi Assist**

### 🔒 Also turn off “Limit IP Tracking”
Still in the WiFi settings:
* Tap the campsite network
* Disable **Limit IP Tracking**
