📶 WiFi connected but no Internet? Here’s what to do.

You’re connected to the WiFi, but see a message like “Connected, no Internet”?

No worries – this usually means your device is no longer authenticated on the login portal.

🔄 Why does this happen?

Your WiFi session has expired, and your device stays connected to the network, but not to the Internet.

Common scenarios:

  • đź’¤ No activity for a while → the system disconnects you automatically.
  • 🎬 Streaming a long video → your device buffers content, then goes inactive, which leads to disconnection.
  • 📱 Switch to mobile data without warning → many phones disable WiFi and silently switch to 4G/5G if they detect no Internet. You keep watching, but use your mobile plan!

âś… What to do:

  1. Open any website (like google.com)

→ This often triggers the login page automatically.

  1. If the portal doesn’t appear:
    • Type manually:

  1. Re-enter your login code, or accept the terms if it’s free access.
  2. You’ll be reconnected instantly 🚀

đź’ˇ Pro tip:

  • Turn off mobile data while using WiFi
  • Enable WiFi calling/SMS
  • Disable battery saver mode and random MAC address
